Keith Bunnell and I created SmashSomeStuff on December 28, 2005 as a simple social experiment going into high school. The idea was simple, have the internet crowdfund various projects which involve us going out and destroying a certain products on video then uploading it to YouTube and observing the internets actions. With over 60 episodes over a span of 3 seasons, the channel was buzzing with activity. Popular episodes include Microwave My iPod Nano, Smash My Xbox 360, & Smash My Wii. In it’s prime, SmashSomeStuff had over 5,000 YouTube subscribers and reached over 8 million people around the world, as well as being featured on popular homepage’s such as Engadget, AOL, Joystiq and even the Wall Street Journal. All though the website ceased production late Fall 2009, it’s still is online to this day serving as a treasure chest archive of creatively made destructive videos.
